Jetamio Kennedy and Catherine Souder, Relay Resources

Relay Resources, a non-profit organization headquartered in Portland, recruits and employs more than 700 people in clerical, assembly, fulfillment, janitorial, landscaping, document services, and supply chain/distribution jobs on behalf of companies across the region. As such, Relay maintains a considerably dispersed workforce. Relay understands and actively removes barriers to work like stable housing and, also critically, transportation.

Cat Souder is the Employment Program Manager for Relay Resources where she ensures employees have what they need to succeed. Jetamio Kennedy is their Employee Resource Specialist and manages Relay’s employee Hop Card transit program.

Ace Hotel Portland is a popular boutique establishment with over 75 stylish rooms and various on-site amenities for guests. Ace Hotel Portland employs nearly 50 workers serving in a variety of job capacities from shift to administrative positions. Located in the heart of downtown Portland, parking can be a particular challenge for on-site employees and guests.

Aurora Sanquilly is responsible for finance and human resources at the Ace Hotel Portland. She’s responsible for recruitment and retention strategies for staff commuting into the Portland’s Central City, where parking is expensive and difficult to access. Aurora is a strong advocate of offering generous benefits and wages to meet employees’ needs. She loves being a part of the team at the historic Ace Hotel that is working to recover from the impacts of the pandemic and revitalize Portland’s downtown.

Adriana Britton, TriMet

TriMet provides bus, light rail and commuter rail service across the Portland metro region, as well as provides commute options consultation and support to local employers of all sizes.

Adriana Britton is one of TriMet’s Transportation Options Coordinators and is a senior member of the agency’s employer and college outreach programs. Adriana works with employers of all sizes to deliver commute options programs that meet business goals and needs, while easing the daily commutes of employees. A frequent transit rider, walker, and runner, Adriana loves working in the transit industry and helping people find a better commute.
