Lane Powell attorney Ben Pirie has been elected to the Executive Committee of Oregon State Bar’s Cannabis Law Section. Pirie counsels cannabis businesses on a wide range of corporate and regulatory legal issues, including mergers and acquisitions, negotiating complex contracts, and corporate governance, as well as regulatory compliance in the emerging cannabis and hemp industries.

A Portland, Oregon jury on Monday, February 12 returned a defense verdict in favor of Safeway on 10 employment claims consisting of alleged discrimination, harassment, retaliation and protected leave interference under federal and Oregon law.
