New Season Market named Wendy Collie its new CEO and President. She begins Jan. 2.
Collie, 48, most recently was president of consumer business for Knowledge Universe, a privately-held company that operates more than 3,000 preschools, international schools, colleges and online teaching programs offered to students around the world. Before joining Knowledge Universe, Collie worked for Starbucks Coffee Company for nearly 18 years with her last role as senior vice president and general manager for the Seattle-based company’s U.S. stores.
“I wanted to work someplace where I would get more connected to Portland, and to be part of a company where I believe in and am inspired by the people, the quality of the product and the mission,” said Collie, who lives in Portland. “New Seasons Market is that company. “
