An online directory of Eugene-Springfield technology companies called the Silicon Shire is beginning to show results.
Cale Bruckner, the vice president of Eugene website development firm Concentric Sky, launched the Silicon Shire project in July.
Since then, it has helped give visibility to Eugene-Springfield’s eclectic mix of software, gaming, biotech and other tech firms, according to people involved in the project.
It also has encouraged networking among those companies, and strengthened ties with the University of Oregon’s computer science department, they said.
