Oregon Business wins journalism awards.
An Oregon Business article won an award in the 2014 Society for Professional Journalists Northwest Excellence in Journalism Competition. The story, Defensive Play by writer Peter Barnes, took first place in the business affairs and consumer category.
Oregon Business has also been nominated for several ASBPE awards. We are in the running for a “Magazine of the Year” General Excellence award (under $3M category), and one of our feature articles, Revenge Forestry, by Jonathan Frochtzwajg, is a finalist in the Western Regional Competition category. Our July/August 2014 cover story, Private Science, by Joe Rojas-Burke, is a finalist in both the Western Regional and National competition categories.
ASBPE winners will be announced in July.
