Lane Powell raised more than $33,000 during the Oregon Lawyers Against Hunger (“OLAH”) food drive, benefiting the Oregon Food Bank. As the top fund-raiser during this year’s drive and for past years, Lane Powell again received the “Silver Barrel Award” — it is the Firm’s 16th year to receive this recognition.
The Firm’s donation will enable the Oregon Food Bank to purchase and distribute several tons of food for hungry Oregonians. In addition, Lane Powell’s donation helped the Oregon Food Bank exceed its goal of raising $150,000 during OLAH, raising more than $153,000 total, and eclipsing last year’s goal of $137,000.
Lane Powell attorneys Lisa D. Poplawski and Cozette Tran-Caffee led the effort this year as the Firm’s OLAH captains, organizing entertaining fundraising events like karaoke and Pictionary for employees.
“Everyone in the office looks forward to OLAH,” said Lane Powell President Lewis M. Horowitz. “It’s really a team effort, though special recognition goes to Lisa and Cozette for spearheading the drive. The pattern of giving over the years has increased substantially, which demonstrates Lane Powell’s commitment to helping our communities thrive.”
