Oregon's jobless rate remained at 9.5% in October, compared to 9.6% in September. This is still a half point above the national average of 9% in October.
Early estimates were that the state had lost jobs in September, but revised figures show that it actually gained 2.700 jobs then. Preliminary figures show another increase in jobs in Oregon in October, with 800 new nonfarm jobs.
