Xerox bought ACS for $6.4 billion in 2009. The company has close to 2,000 Oregon employees at call centers around the state.
Oregon call centers employed 9,500 people statewide in June, according to the latest data from the Oregon Employment Department. Historically, hiring has picks up in the fall and drops off in the summer months.
