A glitch in the Oregon Employment Department’s processing system means unemployment benefits will be delayed one day for many Oregonians.

About 105,000 Oregonians will experience a one-day delay. Tom Fuller with the state unemployment department said this would include anyone who continued their claim on Sunday or Monday.

He added that the OED was asking people to please refrain from contacting the unemployment insurance center regarding the timing of their weekly payment because a flood of phone calls could create additional delays.
