Interface Engineering and Green Building Services will provide sustainability expertise to a major development in Doha, Qatar.

The plan is to transform 76 acres of the city’s center into a cohesive, energy- and water-efficient district aesthetically rooted in Qatari tradition.

“This is a substantial project, said Ralph DiNola, a Green Building Services principal. “I know we’ve had an economic slowdown around the world, but this is one of those bright spots.”

The $5.5 billion project involves development of a mixed-use area featuring commercial and residential properties, hotels, mosques, a school, a public transit system and other community-oriented infrastructure.
