Mt. Bachelor is investing $3.5 million in upgrades, including its first renewable energy source in the form of a solar array.

The resort will generate its own renewable energy courtesy of a new solar panel array atop its Bend office and bus garage. The solar panels will generate enough electricity to power the Carousel beginner lift.

Other improvements include the technological and mechanical upgrades of its high-speed chairlifts including the Skyliner, Northwest and Summit Express. Mt. Bachelor will also add to its snow-grooming fleet.
