Beaverton-headquartered Tektronix has bought Veridae Systems, a Vancouver, B.C. semiconductor testing company.

Veridae Systems, founded two years ago, focuses on testing two classes of programmable computer chips – ASICs and FPGAs. Tektronix said is “has made a long-term commitment” to grow business in the embedded computer chip market in Vancouver.

“Veridae is solving an ever increasing challenge faced by our customers — debug and validation of their complex systems,” Amir Aghdaei, Tek’s president, said in a written statement.
