Three Oregon medical centers earned top ratings for their efforts to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender patients.

The Human Rights Campaign, an advocacy group, surveyed medical centers about protections from discrimination, visitation access for same-sex couples, and other policies. The group received survey responses from 87 companies and agencies operating 375 hospitals and clinics across the U.S. 

Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, the Multnomah County Health Department, and Oregon Health & Science University Hospital were among the 27 sites nationwide credited with full compliance on all of the criteria.
