The Portland Trail Blazers announced that long-time executive J.E. Isaac will resign at the end of July.

Isaac has held various positions with the Blazers since 1989.

His name has appeared often in the news…as he has represented the team on a variety of public issues such as future uses of the Rose Quarter. In his current role, he managed government relations, real estate and business development, and Rose Quarter operations. He also represented the organization through his service on numerous civic and community boards and commissions.

Isaac said “there is hope for a development,” at the Rose Quarter, though he did not offer specifics. He noted that a streetcar line will open soon near the Rose Garden and that could have a “catalytic effect” on boosting economic development.
