Wendy Strgar’s Eugene startup Good Clean Love has faced many challenges since winning the $165,000 investment prize at the Willamette Angel Conference last year.

The startup, which makes organic personal lubricant and other intimacy and sexual health products, has been searching for a new management team.

An executive with a career in high-tech filled the CEO role from July to November, but it was a mismatch, Strgar said. She said she stepped back into the CEO role and has interviewed more than 50 people over the past six months. Strgar said she’s hopeful that one of the candidates she met with last week in Portland will take over the CEO position.

Despite the leadership challenges, the company has had several months of 40 percent year-over year growth, and annual revenues are on track to hit $400,000 this year, she said. That’s up from $225,000 last year.
