McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Inc. rejected a $123.4 million takeover bid from Tilman Fertitta.
The company encouraged its shareholders to do the same.
The nearly 40-year-old Portland-based company said Fertitta’s $9.25-a-share offer lowballs the company, which has struggled over the past year as other comparable upscale restaurant chains have seen sales build.
Considering Feritta’s past record, most industry watchers say his move on McCormick & Schmick’s is far from over.
