Oregon Health and Science University will expand its new South Waterfront building by 20,000 square feet.

The expansion will add about $30 million to the building’s proposed $160 million cost.

The Life Sciences Building will be the first new structure on OHSU’s Schnitzer Campus in the South Waterfront area. It is a collaborative project involving OHSU and the university system, primarily Portland State University.

The original $160 million cost of the Life Sciences Building will be financed by the $40 million donation, $10 million from TriMet and $110 million in state bonds.
