Dundee tourism, business, wine and civic leaders are collaborating on a revamp of the town to appeal to visitors.

A volunteer group originally formed to plan a wine walk has morphed into something bigger, driving economic development.

The volunteers are aiming to foster a solid business base, believing that will not only benefit locals, but also encourage out-of-towners to stay longer.

[Retail manager at Dobbes Family Estate Charles] Hesson said Healdsburg, Napa and St. Helena are among small towns elsewhere that have created the kind of welcoming ambiance Dundee would like to imitate. “The name Dundee is going to roll off the same people’s lips, and they’re going to come to town and leave their dollars,” he predicted.
