Lane Powell is pleased to announce the addition of Bruce Cahn, David W. Criswell and Brad “Tony” Summers, who have joined Lane Powell’s Portland office as Shareholders. All three were previously Partners at Ball Janik.
 
The new additions will anchor the firm’s Creditors’ Rights Team in the Portland office, providing clients with years of experience in finance, commercial litigation and banking matters. “We are excited to add the experience of David, Tony and Bruce as they provide another valuable resource to our Creditors’ Rights, and Banking and Finance Teams,” stated Gregory Fox, Chair of Lane Powell’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Team. CahnBBruce Cahn is a trial and appellate lawyer whose practice is focused on commercial, business and real estate disputes. He represents clients in the hospitality, transportation, construction, banking, financial services, natural resources and technology industries in a variety of matters. He is also recognized as one of the preeminent eminent domain lawyers in Oregon, representing governmental agencies, property owners and lenders in condemnation actions. Cahn received his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and his B.A. in Radio-Television Broadcasting from California State University, Northridge.
 

CriswellDDavid Criswell’s principal areas of practice are business bankruptcy, receiverships, loan workouts, finance and real estate. Criswell has represented numerous debtors-in-possession, secured lenders and purchasers in complex Chapter 11 cases. He also represents bridge lenders in commercial mortgage financings throughout the U.S. as well as banks on front-end loan matters in Oregon and Washington. Criswell received his J.D. from University of Wisconsin – Madison Law School, cum laude, and his B.A. from Dartmouth College.
 

SummersTBrad “Tony” Summers’ principal areas of practice are bankruptcy and debtor-creditor law, workouts and business transactions. Summers has represented numerous debtors-in-possession, trustees, creditors’ committees and secured creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Summers received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law, with highest honors and his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, summa cum laude.
