Ford announces a partnership with Portland General Electric Co. on its launch of a 14-city electric vehicle tour.
Ford chose to launch its 14-city electric vehicle tour in Portland because Oregon is on the forefront of electric vehicle innovation, company officials said.
The company announced an agreement with Portland General Electric Co. to prepare for electric vehicles in Oregon.
“Our vision has been, let’s become the best premier launch market for electric vehicles in this country,” said Charlie Allcock, PGE’s economic development director. “We’re going to have 1,000 charging stations publicly available from Portland down to Eugene by June 30 of next year.”
