Debbie Mercy Jean offers services to Salem-area clients varying from pet walking to “closet exorcism.”
She utilizes the healing energy of Reiki to help her clients, whether in her office for human patients, or on home visits for pet patients.
Reiki is a form of therapy that uses healing energy, Jean said. In a standard Reiki treatment, energy flows from the practitioner’s hands into the client.
“I can feel the energy coming from my palms,” Jean said, as she demonstrated the technique on her dog, Lucy. “It’s a healing energy. I can’t explain it. All I can do is be the middleman, and pass the energy to the areas of the body that need healing.
