Agency chooses new liquor store locations


The Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) added 14 new liquor store locations in Portland.

Back in the 1980s, Oregon had one liquor store for every 12,000 customers. In Portland, that ratio is now one for every 25,000.

The OLCC wants to change that, and announced Thursday they’d be adding 14 new outlets. Four of those liquor stores will be small sections inside area Walmarts.

Last month, the Oregon Supreme Court approved the ballot title that would allow liquor sales in grocery stores.
