Legislature passes marijuana edibles bill


Senate Bill 1511 allows medical-marijuana dispensaries to sell consumable marijuana products and oils to all customers over 21.

If Gov. Kate Brown signs Senate Bill 1511—as she has signed all previous marijuana legislation—medical dispensaries will be free to sell pot-laced brownies, gummy bears and ice cream as soon as this summer, sources tell WW.

…SB 1511 mandates that potency testing be in place before dispensaries can sell edibles or concentrates. Cementing that testing process will likely determine when dispensaries can begin recreational sales.

The same bill also allows “recreational marijuana stores to sell tax-free medical marijuana to patients,” according to Oregon Live.
