DADO Labs has created a system that allows you to control your coffeemaker from your smartphone.

The Portland company now is aiming to add jobs.

By 2017, the company expects to employ as many as 20 people. As such, DADO in negotiating for a new Portland office that would double its overall space and would feature a lab, said co-founder and CEO Thomas Worley.

The DADO platform includes hardware and software that integrates with existing home electronics, allowing incumbent brands to add intelligence to their products and create connected devices. The devices communicate either by bluetooth or WiFi with an accompanying free mobile app.

The firm told the PBJ it will announce a third partnership in the upcoming year.
