For the first time since seismic equipment was installed at Crater Lake National Park in 2001, three tiny earthquakes have been recorded.

The Cascades Volcano Observatory at Vancouver, Wash., recorded the quakes on Friday, and they registered a magnitude of less than 1.

Seismologist Seth Moran told the Mail Tribune the Crater Lake area is not necessarily dead.
