Pending city approval, a new 61-acre industrial park in Redmond could  be ready for tenants as early as this summer. With an estimated $15  million construction price tag, Bend-based Edge Development Group would build 28 lots, which range from one to four acres, for what’s  being called the Topaz Business Park. Bud Prince, manager of Redmond Economic Development, estimates that there are 10 industrial parks in the city either under construction or ready for tenants. Higher land and workforce costs in Bend will drive that number even higher, he says. “Companies are looking at Bend and saying, ‘We can’t do it,’” he says.
