On August 5th, Forbes released its "America's Best Colleges," and Pacific University was the third-highest Oregon university on the list.

On August 5th, Forbes released its "America's Best Colleges," and Pacific University was the third-highest Oregon university on the list.
Pacific University is ranked 153rd on the list.
The rankings are based on five criteria: Graduation rate; National and global awards won by students and faculty; Students' satisfaction with their instructors; average debt upon graduation; and, postgraduate vocational success.
The Forest Grove News-Times wrote about the ranking in its August 19 issue, saying, "These standings represent approximately 15 percent of undergraduate institutions in the U.S,"
Other Oregon universities listed are Reed College (44), George Fox (58), Linfield (165), Willamette (169) and Lewis & Clark (232).
