The San Diego Comic Con has begun again for another year, and the behemoth convention continues to pull in business interests from across entertainment industries. Oregon news out of this year's SDCC is running the gamut from "this place is huge!" to tidbits from the state's comics and television industries. Below is some of the Oregon-related items we're following.
NBC Television show "Grimm," which is both filmed and set in Portland, has a presence at SDCC. They continues to show Portland some love, as shown by their tweet:
This is great continuing news, because as our September 2012 Celluloid Forest story reported, $130 million was spent in Oregon in 2011 producing film, television and TV commercials, up from $62 million in 2009.

And its presence is felt all the way in Portland in terms of Twitter traffic this year. Portland Trends (@trendinaliaPDX) monitors trending Twitter topics in the city, and discovered that #SDCC had cracked the top 20:
