Oregon Business lands gold ASBPE award

Azbees-2013-logoOregon Business won a gold award in the 2013 American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) western region competition. Editor Linda Baker received the "best individual profile" award for her article The Divide, about Medford resident Mike Green and his effort to bring African-Americans into the new technology economy.

The sweltering weather didn't keep the crowds away. Although the numbers were down slightly from last year, the Oregon Food Bank raised $850,636 to fight hunger.  About 80,000 people attended despite temperatures in the upper 90s.
