Oregon Business launches new website

Portland, Ore. – Using the venue of the highly successful and well-attended 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon event, Oregon Business magazine publisher Gillian Floren formally announced the launch of the magazine’s new website at www.oregonbusiness.com.

The new website is a resource which expands upon the content of the print magazine by offering frequently updated news items from all around the state of Oregon.  There are twenty-four different news categories, covering areas from agriculture and forestry to high tech and tourism, and providing a complete view of the state of business in Oregon.  News content comes in the form of feeds from more than thirty state and national media outlets.

The Oregon Business magazine website was designed to provide a wealth of information about the state of Oregon in an easy-to-use format.  A design model that aims to put as much visible content as possible on the front page of the site replaces traditional navigation bars along the side of the page.  In addition to the news content available on the front page, users may also read current and past issues of Oregon Business magazine, check out the results of Input surveys, and view graphs and tables on the state of local economies.

“Our goal for www.oregonbusiness.com is to create a comprehensive business news resource for Oregonians,” says Floren.  “Traffic on the site has been growing steadily since we announced the launch, so it looks like we’re succeeding!”
