Oregon Business accepts op-ed and business tips columns on topics relevant to the state’s business community. Suggested length is 600-800 words.
Among other things, we are looking for opinion pieces that are timely, well-written and contain a strong argument.

Business Tips guidelines
Topics run the gamut and may include legal, tax, accounting, and human resource issues. Successful articles typically incorporate one or more of the following approaches:
- How To: Unique approaches to solve challenges faced by business owners or executives.
- Personal stories: Accounts of strategies or approaches that have been successful.
- Recommendations: A description of solutions that have helped solve a problem or grow your business.
Please note the business tips column is designed to inform and enlighten, not sell. Authors should steer clear of promotional material.
