Business Oregon is proposing an overhaul of the tax credits that Oregon extends to manufacturers.
The proposed overhaul is so far-reaching that it would change the program's name and shift the focus from its original intent: to finance Oregon's green manufacturing ambitions. It would also halve the money pool to $100 million every two years
Business Oregon outlined the proposed changes days after the announced shutdown of SoloPower's Portland plant, backed by a $20 million manufacturing Business Energy Tax Credit.
