SoloPower CEO Rob Campbell said he's working hard to attract capital and restart full operations at the company's Portland manufacturing plant.
Resurrecting full production would be a tall order, given the state of Oregon's notice Monday that SoloPower planned to lay off 29 employees and suspend operations on June 17, likely for good.
Raising capital for solar manufacturing as prices plummet and companies go bankrupt worldwide is a difficult proposition. Even established players, such as Germany's SolarWorld, which has 700 workers at a Hillsboro plant, are scrambling to restructure with massive losses.
