Two Oregon companies plan Salem expansions

NORPAC Foods and Henningsen Cold Storage plan to build a cold storage warehouse in southeast Salem, indicating confidence in the region's agriculture.

Hillsboro-based Henningsen Cold Storage and NORPAC, a prominent fruit and vegetable processor, have done business together for many years. The warehouse and office building is part of strategic plans to grow both companies’ businesses.

NORPAC also plans to move its corporate headquarters from Stayton, as well as a sales and marketing team in Lake Oswego, to a new office planned for southeast Salem. That could bring 120 more NORPAC employees to Salem.
