Oregon timber company paying $130K for air violations

An Oregon timber company is paying $130,925 to a wood stove replacement program as part of a settlement about air pollution violations alleged by Montana regulators.

The Montana Department of Environmental Protection said Thursday the payment by Roseburg Forest Products will go to the Missoula County Seeley Lake Wood Stove Change-Out Program.

State officials say that in 2011 Roseburg submitted revised air pollution monitoring reports that revealed numerous permit violations over the previous five years at its Missoula particle board plant.
