Mentor Graphics will start paying a quarterly divided.

Wilsonville-based Mentor is Oregon's largest pure technology company, producing software that engineers use to design computer chips and other sophisticated electronics.

Coming of three years of record sales and profits -- this past year was Mentor's second straight with sales above $1 billion -- chief executive Wally Rhines said Mentor has the resources and financial stability to commit to regular dividend payments.
