Portland chefs nominated for James Beard Awards

Twelve Portland chefs and two restaurants are nominated for James Beard Awards.

Open for one year this coming April, Ox got two nominations. Best chefs for husband and wife team Greg and Gabi Denton and also a best nod for their restaurant on NE MLK Blvd.

"It's always an honor to be on such a list," Greg Denton said. "To be mentioned with James Beard and all the chefs that are on that list, it's a huge honor, humbling and slightly intimidating. It's pretty cool."
The finalist will be announced March 18th in New York City.
