As Nike considers the location for its planned expansion, the company already has 22 buildings on 213 acres near Beaverton.

The "Nike World Headquarters" complex opened with eight buildings in October 1990, a project that cost about $147 million. The company had fewer than 2,500 employees in Oregon at the time, mostly spread among seven leased buildings, and $2.2 billion in revenue. Its address: 1 Bowerman Drive, named for University of Oregon track coach and company co-founder Bill Bowerman.

Today, the campus has 22 buildings. Fiscal 2012 revenue was $24.1 billion and about 44,000 are employed worldwide. The company has about 8,000 employees in Oregon; Nike won't say anymore how many work on the campus itself.
