Evergreen merges with SSOE Group

Evergreen EDC, one of Oregon's largest engineering firms, is merging with the SSOE Group.

Evergreen specializes in engineering, design and construction management for industries including semiconductors, life sciences and data centers. It has five offices in the U.S. with more than 300 employees, about 285 in Hillsboro. Last year, Evergreen was Oregon's second largest engineering firm with 150 local engineers, according to the Portland Business Journal.

Prior to the merger, Toledo, Ohio-based SSOE had more than 1000 employees across 23 offices in 5 countries. SSOE has a more diverse clientele than Evergreen, including chemical, healthcare and food-related businesses.
