Oregon received $95M in federal bicycle funding

Oregon received more than $95 million in federal funding for bicycle and pedestrian improvements between 1992 and 2009.

The study, conducted by the Health and Transportation Policy Forum at the Harvard School of Public Health, found that the largest chunk of funding — approximately $41.7 million — went toward transportation enhancements.

The money Oregon used for transportation enhancements went to projects such as creating bicycle lanes on a roadway, adding bike racks onto buses and constructing bicycle parking facilities.
