Wilsonville's fifth-largest employer, TE Connectivity, plans a dozen layoffs this month, with more to come.

TE Connectivity, a Pennsylvania-based maker of cables and connectors, said it was laying off 137 workers across its medical products division, which includes the Wilsonville facility. Of those, 49 would take effect this month, including 12 in Wilsonville.

The facility will remain open with a workforce of about 400, Peacock said. TE Connectivity employed 462 last year, according to a city financial report released in June.
