Verizon brings LTE to Coos Bay, Pendleton

Verizon plans to offer fast LTE wireless data service in Pendleton and Coos Bay, starting Thursday.

The upgrade provides speeds up to 10 times faster than Verizon's previous service, the company said. Subscribers need an LTE-equipped phone, such as the iPhone 5, to take advantage of the faster speeds.
