Kitzhaber signs tax deal with Nike

Gov. John Kitzhaber signed a 30-year agreement to lock in Nike's corporate tax.

Kitzhaber called the Oregon Legislature to a special session last week to pass a bill enabling the deal. While that bill won't go into effect until March, language in the bill allows the state and Nike to enter into an agreement ahead of that effective date.

The deal follows very closely the initial terms set out in the draft legislation put before the Legislature.

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013
