Palo Alto, Calif.-based Farmigo plans to launch an online farmers market service in Portland.

Farmigo will start by offering its online marketplace to groups in San Francisco and New York but named Portland along with Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Chicago and Philadelphia on deck with service coming soon.

The company launched in 2009 as a cloud-based software provider for community-supported agriculture subscriptions. The new model will target communities such as workplaces and schools and connect them with local farms to provide regular deliveries of fruits and vegetables.

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013
