Downtown Eugene's popular Bier Stein Bottleshop and Pub is moving to a new location at the former Midtown Marketplace.
“We’re bursting at the seams. It’s so crowded so often,” [owner Chip] Hardy said. “A lot of my friends say, ‘Hey, we’d love to come to your place, but it’s so busy. We get off work and want to have a beer and sit down, but we can’t find a table.’ We hear that a lot.”
They bought the property from businessman and former University of Oregon track star Roscoe Divine last month for $1.6 million, paying $125,000 up-front and promising to pay the rest over the next five years, according to the deed.
