Columbia Sportswear executives plan to slow the pace of new innovations after churning out so much new technology since 2008.
Instead, the Washington County-based company will incorporate previous innovations into new styles. After those innovations register with consumers' outdoor awareness, then Columbia would plow ahead with variations to the technology itself.
"We can confuse people by releasing these innovations too quickly," [CEO Tim] Boyle said. "We'll have a more measured approach to how we release them in the future."
