AT&T brings LTE to Corvallis, Eugene

AT&T's faster LTE wireless service is now available in Corvallis and Eugene.

The company launched service in the Portland area last September, just days ahead of the launch of Apple's iPhone 5, which is equipped to take advantage of the faster LTE speeds (it stands for "Long Term Evolution.")

In addition to faster speeds, AT&T says its LTE network has lower latency (better for gaming and video chats) and makes better use of wireless spectrum. That gives us hope that the network won't bog down, the way AT&T's 3G network did, as more people hop onto LTE.
