Chris Brown is replacing Martha Wyrsch as Vestas Americas' president.

Brown resigned his post as the Chief Operating Officer for the City of Detroit, and will be moving to Portland by the first week of December.

"I recognize there are many challenges in the U.S. wind industry," Brown said in a press release. "However, Vestas has tremendous potential and strength. Vestas officials said Monday it was Wyrsch's decision to leave the company.
