Fashion Tech plans to shutter its window-blind plant, cutting 98 jobs.

Its plant, in east central Portland, will be idle by Dec. 31, according to the company.

Fashion Tech, which makes and distributes window coverings, was founded in 1979 in Portland, according to its website. It grew to two manufacturing sites and a call center, maintaining its headquarters in Portland.
