Prineville data center wins design award

Facebook's Prineville data center son an Innovation by Design award from Fast Company magazine.

Of the Prineville data center, Fast Company's judges said "This building is one massive airflow machine: By capturing outside air and cooling it with pressurized mist, no air-conditioning is required for the servers within."

Other Portland-based creations were finalists for the awards including, in the industrial category, Ziba Design's Jumpseat, a compact folding seat for theater seating installed in the Portland-based design firm's own auditorium.
